Hello you costume gurus out there.
I would love some advise: I am commencing a project to create a French man and woman's outfit from 1609 and I'm a bit lost for where to start research. Does anyone have advise of books or websites?
thanks

If I recall correctly, 120" is the fuller end of the spectrum for 18th petticoats. Most people just use two panels of 60" which is handy, because all you have to do to leave pocket slits is neglect to sew the top 10"together.
Also, you can always use a contrasting petticoat if you run out of fabric...
