My my millinery class final project: A bonnet to match this ([link]) gown.
The structure is made of buckram and wire covered in Thai silk on the outside and an old silk kimono lining on the inside. The ribbon decoration is based off of a few original fashion plates, specifically one in "the cut of woman's clothes." The ribbon itself is cheap polyester which I plan to replace when I next get my hands on some nice silk ribbon. |
