Artist's Comments

Shaped brim hat. Made with buckram and wire base covered in light green cotton and trimmed in contrasting cotton velvet. Bow in contrast fabric and gros-grain ribbon.

Inspiration was 40's Dior hats, though this hat did not have quite as much distinction between the crown and brim as I had wanted.

haha, yes, I like the color scheme too. originally I wanted something in, like pink and orange that could be totally outrageous, but this is what I found in the scrap box.

Oh, also, this hat stays on my head because the crown extends inside the brim for about and inch and a half. how are you going to keep this hat on?
